Introduction For Administrators
Inmark's "Private Online Portals", POPs, have been developed to deliver a new approach to packaging and shipping services to organizations such as yours. By aligning the goals of your organization, with the goals of our packaging, Inmark has created a service, that when diligently administered by individuals such as yourself, will give you unparalleled knowledge and control over your business processes. No longer are our customers held prisoner to developing expensive and novel procedures and processes to ensure their payloads are being shipped in accordance to their business goals. Through vertical integration, Inmark is providing organizations a service that was never before possible. Our tutorials will aim to provide you with an introductory understanding on how to harness the powers of Inmark POPs.
Organization
Our service was designed around our customers, and therefore nothing is more important than understanding your Organization. To ensure we understand your organization, we first collect some basic pieces of information so that we may further map our your organizational structure. Should your usage of our service only reflect a subset of your organization, the information provided at this step may (and should) represent that.
Business Units
Now that we have collected basic information regarding your organization, we must map out your business units, this is the most important step of signing up for POPs. If you have questions or need assistance with this step, we are always happy to help, but there are two important concepts to consider when determining how to create business units for your organization in POPs: security, and reporting. When you invite users to order packaging and ship using POPs, they will be assigned to the business units you choose, therefore we suggest first considering if there are any access or segregation requirements that you will need to achieve. Another consideration is reporting, business units are the most common filter for data in your organizations account. Consider what reporting requirements you might have as you determine what business units to create for your organization. As always, we are happy to offer assistance should you have any questions.
Return Item Collections and Items
To understand "Return Item Collections" we must first understand what "Return Items" are. Simply put, Return items are your payload, they are the item you are intending to ship and place within Inmark's shipping solution (i.e. packaging). Return Item Collections are then just a grouping of Return Items. Collections are useful for reporting purposes, both reporting within a collection and reporting to compare collections. Additionally, collections can make it easier for both admins and regular users to find the return items they are looking for. Return Items on the other hand work best when the way they are inputted into our system most accurately represents the real world. Having return items in POPs match with physical items down to the most signifiant unique details enables better searching, allows users to interact with the system more intuitively, and again, provides greater reporting to administrators. We understand that you can't improve what you do not measure, and POPs has been built to be your favourite measuring device.
User Management
Precise management of your users, including who has access to what, is a cornerstone of POPs. Reporting, accountability, security, autonomy, etc. Each of these concepts were considered when we designed POPs. Whether your organization or business units need to be accessed by two users or two-thousand users, POPs will save your organization money, and save your administrators and users time.
Shipping Configurations and Accounts
While there is a lot to know about shipping configurations and how you use carrier accounts to achieve your desired shipping outcomes, we have ensured this knowledge acquisition and planning processes is not required for getting started with POPs. Inmark supplies shipping and carriers for it's supported regions and is pleased to offer this support to all of our POPs customers with default shipping configurations. Meaning, you can get started with POPs without any concerns regarding shipping configurations or carrier accounts while shipping within Inmark's supported geographies.
Digital Documents
Whether it be internal documentation, customer documentation, or otherwise, POPs is ready to help you achieve custom workflows with our Digital Documents set of functionalities. In POPs all digital documents are determined to fall into one of two classifications, Product Type, and Reference Type. The differentiation between these two classifications is just as simple and intuitive. Product Type documents are included in applicable orders and are a part of our fulfillment process. Reference Type documents are always available for download in POPs and can be found before an order is placed, or afterwards.
